Procedure 1 is mainly written for Garmin Nuvi & Zumo series. Procedure 2 is for 60Cx, 60CSx, Legend Cx, Vista Cx, Legend HCx, Vista HCx, StreetPilot C320, and other units with external memory expansion. Also, for person who brought Nuvi from abroad and has other countries map built-in and put Thai map in an SD card. Must READ info: Actually, installing the map into new Garmin unit is just copy a file into unit's internal memory or to an SD card. If you have basic computer skill like copying, deleting, and manage around folders, you are good to go to do it yourself. If not, please find some help around you or come to our store. We are more than welcome to help. Procedure 1: Install map into your GPS internal memory. Nuvi & Zumo 1. Obtain the map file: A: Download B: CD
2. Plug your Garmin GPS into your computer with USB-Mini USB cable. 3. You computer will recognize Garmin GPS as a drive and will assign a drive letter for it in PC or show it as Garmin.
4. Copy map file from CD or you downloaded into Garmin GPS to replace the existing "Gmapsupp.img." Easiest way is to drag the file from CD or your computer into your Garmin GPS. If it's correct, you can check file size of the map in your unit that it should have 81.86MB.
Procedure 2: Install map into an SD, micro SD, or CF card. 1. You need to have a card reader that can read the card that come with the unit. 2. Insert the card into card reader. You will see a "Garmin" folder 3. Go to step 1. in the above procedure. 4. Copy map file from CD or you downloaded into Garmin GPS. Easiest way is to drag the file from CD or your computer into the memory card into "Garmin" folder. If it's correct, you can check file size of the map in your unit that it should have 81.86 MB.
