StreetPilot 7200 เป็นระบบนำทางในรถยนต์ที่มีจอแสดงผลขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดของ Garmin คือ มีขนาดถึง 7 นิ้ว ซึ่งจะมองเห็นได้ชัดจากทุกตำแหน่งในรถ โดย GPS ในตระกูล 7000 ออกแบบมาสำหรับใช้ใน รถบ้าน (recreation vehicle - RV) รถบรรทุกหัวลาก และรถโดยสาร

โดยในเครื่องจะมีแผนที่ประเทศไทยความละเอียดสูงแบบ Thailand City Select V 6.7 ที่มีข้อมูลถนน ซอย โดยละเอียด ในเขตกรุงเทพและปริมณฑล รวมทั้งอำเภอเมืองของทุกจังหวัด ทั่วประเทศ รวมทั้งหัวเมืองสำคัญต่างๆ อีกด้วย นอกเขตเมืองความละเอียดจะอยู่ที่ระดับ 1:20000 ซึ่งจะละเอียดถึงถนนเลข 4 หลัก ทั่วประเทศ นอกจากนี้ยังบรรจุแผนที่ City Navigator North America NT ที่ครอบคลุมพี้นที่ของ สหรัฐ แคนาดา และเปอโตริโก พร้อมทั้ง POI มากกว่า 6 ล้านจุดอีกด้วย

StreetPilot 7200 มีความสามารถในการเล่นเพลงในรูปแบบของ MP3 หรือ Audio book ผ่านตัวกระจายสัญญาณ FM เข้ากับวิทยุในรถได้อีกด้วย และจะตัดเสียงเพลงโดยอัตโนมัติขณะที่เครื่องแจ้งบอกการนำทาง

ในด้านการนำทาง SP 7200 บรรจุความสามารถในการนำทางอย่างเต็มเปี่ยม ไม่ว่าเป็นการคำนวณเส้นทางอย่างรวดเร็ว มีเสียงนำทางแบบเลี้ยวต่อเลี้ยว มีการแสดงผลได้ทั้งแบบ 2 มิติ และ 3 มิติ หากมีการขับออกนอกเส้นทาง เครื่องก็จะคำนวณเส้นทางใหม่ให้โดยอัตโนมัติ อีกทั้งยังมีเทคโนโลยี text-to-speech ที่ไม่เพียงบอกเลี้ยวซ้าย ขวา แต่จะบอกชื่อถนนอีกด้วย เช่น "อีก 200 เมตร เลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าซอยทองหล่อ 13" เป็นต้น โดยจะบอกเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ

Also, the preprogrammed City Navigator North America NT maps-containing detailed road maps throughout the entire United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. This map database features nearly six million POIs -including hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions.

Entertainment
The StreetPilot 7200 and 7500 also include a host of features to keep you entertained during your travels, including an internal MP3 player, XM radio (not available outside U.S.), and audio books. The built-in MP3 player lets users browse music by artist, album, song, or genre. Music can be loaded onto an SD card and is "drag-and-drop" easy - no special software is required. The StreetPilot 7200 and 7500 are also compatible with www.audible.com, a subscription-based audio book service. All music or speech files can be emitted over the vehicle's existing speakers, through the StreetPilot's built-in FM wireless transmitter or via the unit's headphone/line-out jack. The entertainment audio is muted when navigation instructions are given.

Street Navigator
The StreetPilot 7000 series contains all of the features you've come to know and love in a Garmin, including intuitive navigation with automatic route calculation; voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions; 2D or 3D map view; and automatic rerouting if a motorist strays off course. The unit speaks street names, so users will know to "turn right on Main Street." Enter a series of destinations, and the unit will automatically sort them to provide an efficient route. With its POI Loader software, Garmin has also made it possible for customers to augment pre-loaded maps with custom POIs such as school zones and safety cameras.

The face of the StreetPilot 7200 and 7500 only has one button - an on/off switch. The side and back of the unit houses integrated internal speaker, mini USB port, AV input, SD card slot and 3.5 mm audio jack. A wireless infrared alphanumeric remote control that allows easy operation of the device from a distance is standard equipment.
