เป็นหนึ่งในตระกูลจีพีเอสแบบมือถือทางเรือที่ได้รับความไว้วางใจจากนักตกปลา นักเดินเรือ ทั่วโลก จีพีเอสรุ่นนี้เป็นรุ่นที่มีราคาย่อมเยาและใช้งานง่าย เหมาะสำหรับผู้เริ่มใช้ GPS หรือผู้ที่ไม่ต้องการใช้ระบบแผนที่ในเครื่อง รับสัญญาณแบบ 12 ช่อง และการใช้งานยาวนานถึง 16 ชั่วโมง ด้วยถ่าน AA เพียง 2 ก้อน เครื่องสามารถเก็บ Waypoint ได้มากถึง 500 ตำแหน่ง โดยใช้สัญลักษณ์รูปภาพและมีระบบ Track Back ที่สามารถพาคุณย้อนรอยกลับตามทางเดิมได้ นอกจากนี้ GPS76 ยังแสดงตำแหน่งการเคลื่อนที่บนหน้าจอ ทำให้ง่ายต่อการเก็บตำแหน่ง Waypoint และข้อมูลอื่นๆ เครื่องหากตกน้ำจะลอย และมีฐานข้อมูลของทุ่นไฟในทะเลแถบอ่าวไทยและอันดามันบรรจุภายในเครื่องอีกด้วย
